There is full wheelchair access in compliance with building regulations.
The school does not have specialist teaching facilities for students with disability with the exception of learning difficulties such as mild dyslexia or dysphraxia.
We are able to make provision for students with mild autism or ADHD, but again, do not have specialist facilities. There is no local authority plan to develop any specialism related to disability at Sinfin Community School.
All staff are made aware of individual students’ particular needs and are given advice and support in teaching materials and styles to help them meet these needs.
Medical support is made available where necessary and appropriate.
Every effort is made to ensure that students with a disability are able to take a full and active part in school life.
(The school can provide a copy of its disability equality policy upon request).
