Curriculum

The school’s curriculum is a diverse and challenging curriculum which has been described as good at key stage 3 and outstanding at key stage 4 by Ofsted. There are a wide range of courses to meet the needs of all our students and we work in partnerships with other schools, businesses, training providers and community groups to enable each student to achieve their best.

We run on a 25 period week with a one week timetable and each period 1 hour long.

The key stage 3 curriculum meets the requirements of the national curriculum and aims to give a broad and balanced education, which acts as springboard for future learning as students progress through the school.

There is strong emphasis on the core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science as well as skills on how to learn and creative thinking which encourages independent learning.
